Vertex construction and zero modes of twisted strings on orbifolds

Description
We clarify the quantization of the zero modes of twisted strings on orbifolds and thereby show how the untwisted state emission-vertex operators in the twisted sector are equipped with cocycle factors, describing the jumo of the center-of-mass coordinate according to the winding numbers of the emitted state. Then, we apply the formalism to a Z2-orbifold in detail and determine what representation the fixed points belong to. (orig.)
