States of the quantized electromagnetic field with highly concentrated phase distribution

Description

We investigate the generation and properties of a class of states having highly peaked phase distribution, describing either a trapped field inside a cavity or a running field. It constitutes a striking example of partial phase state and provides a route to a new phase state
