Ga-67 SPECT in the evaluation of head and neck malignant tumor
- 1. Kagawa Medical School, Miki (Japan)
Description
We evaluated Ga-67 scintigraphy in 54 cases with pathologically diagnosed head and neck malignant tumor (ML: lymphoma, MM: melanoma and CA: another head and neck tumor). In the planar images, the positive rate was 95.4% for ML, 33.3% for MM and 51.7% for CA. In the SPECT images, positive rate was 95.4% for ML, 66.7% for MM and 79.3% for CA. Ga-67 SPECT seems to be useful to delineate lesion in ML, and to detect additional information that separated image of the lesion from background especially in MM and CA. (author)
