Evaluation of a Tc-99m-labeled monoclonal antibody Fab fragment for staging small cell lung cancer and evaluating response to therapy
Description
This study has evaluated sensitivity of Tc-99m labeled monoclonal antibody (MoAb) NR-LU-10 (NeoRx) in small cell lung cancer (SCLC) staging, response to chemotherapy, and utility in detecting occult lesions. Twelve newly diagnosed SCLC patients were studied, seven of whom had repeat studies after induction chemotherapy (total, 19 studies). We labeled 10 mg of the Fab with 20-30 mCi Tc-99m by using diamide dithiolate ligand N2S2. Images were obtained 17 hours after intravenous injection, and the results correlated with other imaging studies
