Evaluation of 99Tc capture cross sections in the unresolved resonance region

Description

The capture cross section of 99Tc was measured with the neutron time-of-flight method at the Research Reactor Institute, Kyoto University (KURRI). In the keV energy region we have analyzed this experimental data with the Hauser-Feshbach-Moldauer statistical theory to provide evaluated neutron-capture data of 99Tc. Other experimental data available were also included in this study. The nuclear model parameters were adjusted to those measurements, and we extrapolated the calculated cross section to the fast energy region. The model parameters obtained gave a good agreement with the experimental data up to 1 MeV. (orig.)
