Relaxation of electric resistance in single crystal YBaCuO caused by hydrostatic pressure and jump-like temperature variations

Description

The effect of hydrostatic pressure on the baric, temperature and time dependences of conductivity in the ab-plane of YBa2 Cu3 O7-x single crystals with different oxygen contents was investigated. It is shown that in oxygen-deficient samples x > 0.2, the nonequilibrium state may be induced by the temperature and pressure variations. It is necessary to distinguish the change induced by the variation of the unit sell volume and by oxygen redistribution in the Ca-O planes. The characteristic times of conductivity relaxation under the influence of pressure and during annealing at room temperatures were estimated, and is concluded that the processes are of the same physical origin
