Description
The clinical presentation of neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) may vary depending on the site of tumor origin. About 72% of NETs arise in gastrointestinal tract, 25% are bronchopulmonary in origin, and <5% arise at other sites (e.g., thyroid, breast, genitourinary system). Very often, these tumors are locally advanced with distant metastases, inoperable at the moment of diagnosis. The aim of this work was to obtain clinical application of SPECT-CT scintigraphy with 99mTc- Tektrotyd in diagnosis, staging, and follow-up of patients (pts) with some rare NETs
