Rapid method of tantalum determination in niobium-containig objects by the reaction with brilliant green reagent

Description
Rapid methods for extraction-photometric determination of tantalum in niobium-containing objects are developed to exercise operational control over the technological process. Analysis time reduction and tantalum determination selectivity increasing are achieved in the result of single extract washing by solution, containing 7 ml of 1M H2SO4, 5ml of 6% ammonium tartrate solution, 1ml of 3M HF and 0.3 ml of 0.5% brilliant green solution. Sensitivity of tantalum determination in production solutions makes up 0.005 g/l and in metallic niobium and its oxide - 10-2 and 5x10-3% respectively
