Bound qq-bar-systems in the framework of the Salpeter equation

Description
The mass spectrum of mesons considered as bound qq-bar systems is described by means of Salpeter equation with given static potential. The interaction potential is represented as a sum of the one-gluon-exchange potential and that of confinement. The mass spectrum of both light and heavy mesons is obtained. Relativistic effects are estimated. The utilized approach permits obtaining besides binding energies also relativistic wave function of the bound qq-bar state in the centre of mass system
