Patent
Internal component element for a reactor
Description
Object: To suppress vibrations of a neutron detector assembly so as to protect a neutron detector assembly and fuel assembly from wear and damage while also enhancing the precision of measurement at the time of measuring neutron flux by interposing a vibration prevention means between the neutron detector assembly and fuel assembly. Structure: A vibration prevention means which is made of a metal softer than that of the channel of the fuel assembly is interposed between the neutron detector assembly and fuel assembly. With this arrangement, vibrations produced by the flow of reactor water or earthquakes are suppressed by the vibration prevention means and not transmitted to the neutron detector. (Kamimura, M.)
