1 gev proton space focusing by bent monocrystal
- 1. AN SSSR, Leningrad. Inst. Yadernoj Fiziki
Description
Ability of cylindrically bent monocrystal to single out particles passing through the crystal focus out a wide beam has been shown experimentally. The focus width of the singled out 1 GeV protons, when the radius of silicon crystal bent is 2 m, constitutes FWHMsub(ch)=0.65 mm. The width of a straight beam in the FWHMsub(r) focus region is 15.4 mm
