Eight-channel threshold Cherenkov counter with an air radiator

Description
To separate charged particles (π- and K-mesons) in the 7-22 GeV/c momentum range wide-aperture 8 channel threshold Cherenkov counter with an air radiator is designed. The counter is aimed at investigation of electromagnetic processes by CASCAD facility in electron (photon) beam of Serpukhov synchrotron. The counter testing at FIAN synchrotron relativistic electron beam shower that upto 20 photoelectrons may escape, providing the total radiator length with photocathode PM-49B, specially selected at test-bed and covered with sepctrum shifter, is 4.3 m
