Phase timing of the first block of nuclear power plant at Dukovany
Creators
Description
The synchronization is described of two SKODA turbogenerators during the start-up of the first unit of the Dukovany nuclear power plant with WWER-440 type reactor. The procedure is discussed of reactor charging, as is reactor sealing, the complete assembly of the whole system, and mainly the checks of emergency safety equipment. Specific experiments are listed performed after attainment of the 20% power output level. Following the experiments, the power output of the unit was gradually increased to 100% of rated power.
