Magnetic properties of Fe76.5-xCu1NbxSi13.5B9 alloys nanocrystallized from amorphous state

Description

The correlation between microstructure and quasi-static magnetic hysteresis loop of the initially amorphous ribbons of Fe76.5-xCu1NbxSi13.5B9 alloys after annealing for 1 h at 370-800 C was studied. The local minimum of coercive field Hcmin was observed for the alloys after completion of the first stage of crystallization. The observed decrease of Hcmin from 83 to 0.5 A/m is ascribed to the decrease of an average diameter D of α-Fe(Si) nanocrystals from 62 to 12 nm, while niobium content x increases from 0 to 3 at%, respectively.
