Effect of cis-dichlorodiammine platinum II and x rays on mammalian cell survival
Description
Incubation with cis dichlorodiammine platinum II for 1 hour prior to x-irradiation decreases the survival of rat hepatoma (H4) cells irradiated in plateau phase. The drug is more effective when the cells are irradiated in hypoxia. However, cis-Pt (II) does not affect the Do of exponetially growing H4 cells. The repair of sublethal and of potentially lethal damage are inhibited by the drug
