Estimation of C-X bonds (X=Cl, Br, I) dissociation energies according to kinetic data on radical abstraction reactions
Description
Kinetic data on R.+RjX→RX=R.j type reactions, where X=Cl, Br or I, are analyzed in the framework of parabolic model of transient state. From the ratios of rate constants the differences in dissociation energies of bonds Ri-X and R1-X, where R+1-X-compounds with the known bond dissociation energy are calculated. Thus, values DR-x for 73 compounds have been calculated. 16 refs., 5 tabs
