Analysis of the properties of exotic nuclei in elastic scattering

Description
The elastic scattering of the exotic nuclei 11Li and 6He by nucleons and light at intermediate and low energies is analyzed using potential models (the phenomenological and microscopic optical potentials) and various versions of the Glauber approximation. It is shown that elastic scattering can provide valuable information on the integral properties of nuclei with a neutron halo. 41 refs., 9 figs., 2 tabs
