The gauge-covariant formulation of interacting strings and superstrings

Description

The local gauge-covariant free actions of open and closed bosonic strings and superstrings are constructed. The unique local covariant actions for interacting bosonic strings (open and closed) are determined and the corresponding one for superstrings is proposed. (orig.)
