Diffuse scattering of single crystal α-AgI by neutron scattering measurement
Description
Neutron scattering measurement of the diffuse scattering of single crystal α-AgI was performed with the ΔE≅0 scan method. The feature of the observed intensity of the diffuse scattering was explained by the theory including the correlations among the thermal displacements of atoms. Most of the intensities of the diffuse scattering with the ΔE≅0 scan method corresponds to the static disorder scattering among silver atoms. (author)
