Measurement of Atomic L Shell Coster-Kronig Yields (f12, f23 and f13) for Tm Elements

Description

Atomic L shell Coster -Kronig yields (f12, f23 and f13) for Tm were determined semiemprically. The values of f12, f23 and f13 of Tm were found using theoretical Li (i=1,2,3) subshell photoionizasyon cross sections and experimental Li subshell fluorescence yields. In this work x-ray production cross-sections measurements of Tm element have been studied at 3 different excitation energies. In case 1, the excitation energy (E) is BL3<E<BL2 (B is binding energy). In case 2, the excitation energy (E) is BL2 <E<BL1 and In last case the excitation energy (E) is less than the binding energy of the K shell (BL1<E<BK). Experimental measurements were carried out using (Si) Li x-ray spectrometer. The present results were compared with theoretically predicted ones and semiempirical fitted values
