Plant condition monitoring and maintenance planning
Description
The papers presented have discussed maintenance strategies and how to choose the right level of maintenance. The optimum is found between maximum availability and minimum maintenance costs, dependent on the value of availability. However, availability is not solely dependent on maintenance costs, and if the authors take the statistics and examine specific power plants, the authors find a number of occasions where more or less serious failures have occurred although preventive maintenance was carried out
