Spectral representation of adaptive optical system aberrations under conditions of space-time limitations

Description

A spectral representation of aberrations of adaptive optical systems with a zone wave front control under conditions of space-time limitations of an adaptive circuit is proposed. A combined allowance for spatial and temporal limitations and their correlations is performed in the framework of linear treatment of the adaptation process using spectral representations of correcting actions and temporal spectra of the aberrations compensated. The performance factors of atmospheric distortion adaptive correction for various distortion degrees and adaptive circuit bandwidths are investigated, and the conditions in which the circuit response is sufficiently fast are determined. 7 refs., 2 figs
