Nucleoside monophosphate complexes of dioxouranium(VI)

  • 1. Indian Inst. of Tech., Madras. Dept. of Chemistry

Description

Complexes of UO22+20 with adenosine-5'-monophosphoric (5'-AMP), cytidine-5'-monophosphoric (5'-CMP), guanosine-5'-monophosphoric (5'-GMP), inosine-5'-monophosphoric (5'-IMP) and uridine-5'-monophosphoric (5'-UMP) acids have been prepared and characterized on the basis of IR, far IR and TG analyses. The involvement of phosphate moiety of the ligands in binding to UO22+ is noticed in all the cases. Besides, metal ion binding through ring nitrogens such as N-7 in AMP, N-3 in CMP, N-7 in GMP and IMP is also evident from IR data. TG analyses of the complexes confirm the number of water molecules in the complexes. (author)
