Effective cross-section matrix and isotopic relations between the structure functions of inclusive processes

  • 1. Joint Institute for Nuclear Research

Description

A positive-definite matrix of the effective cross sections which is invariant under arbitrary transformations of the isotopic rotation group SU(2) is constructed in the isotopic space of two separated hadrons a1 and a2. The properties of this matrix define a unified class of isotopic relations for the total cross sections of the interaction of the hadrons a1 and a2, the two-particle structure functions of inclusive processes b1+b2→a1+a2+X, and the one-particle structure functions of inclusive processes a1+b→a2+X
