Structures with quantum well on PbTe/Pb1-xSnxTe base

Description
In the temperature range of 77-300 K transmission spectra of structures with quantum wells and superlattices of PbTe/Pb0.8Sn0.2Te are investigated. The structures presented systems of 10-20 alternating layers of PbTe (400-800 A) and Pb0.8Sn0.2Te (100-400 A). Angular dependences of transverse magnetic resistance in weak fields are also studied. On the basis of the results obtained peculiarities of the transmission spectra are identified and two-dimensional character of current carrier motion is ascertained
