Projection - iteration processes in the solution of the transport equation

Description

Some processes of solving the boundary value problems of the theory of neutron transport in media with step-constant in space coordinate cross sections are considered. The schemes of these processes are combinations of the simple iteration method and of the projection method, in this case certain superpositions of elementary solutions of the corresponding homogeneous transport equations are selected as coordinate functions. Such a choice permits to derive solutions of a high quality already in lower approximations of the simple iteration process modified as required
