Description

At the ILL high-flux reactor, new Ni, Co, and Fe isotopes have been identified in the fission of 235U and 239Pu, induced by thermal neutrons. Fission yields have been measured as well. In a pilot experiment at GSI Darmstadt, 65Fe has been separated from 86Kr projectile fragmentation. The β decay half-life has been measured by means of time correlation between the implantation of the selected isotope and the detection of β particle following its decay
