Description

Expansion of the recently suggested relativistic two-body equation (Pilkuhn H. 1984, J. Phys. B: At. Mol. Phys. 17,4061) to the order 1/c2 does not reproduce the Breit potential. Nevertheless, the equation gives the known result for the quadrupole moment in the ground state of the hydrogen atom contrary to Pilkuhn's assertion. (author)
