New filamentary Nb3Sn high field superconductors
Description
Methods for the manufacture of multifilamentary composites based on Nb3Sn are outlined. The stability limits of such conductors and the engineering problems raised by their applications in technology, high energy physics and (eventually) fusion reactor construction, are discussed. (F.Q.)
