X-ray studies of fusion-energy neutron damage in Cu
Description
Recent developments in diffuse X-ray scattering have demonstrated the sensitivity of the diffuse intensity to relative changes in the size distribution of radiation-induced dislocation loops. In this work, these techniques have been used to determine size distributions for loop-type defect clusters resulting from room temperature irradiation of single-crystal Cu with 14.8 MeV d-T fusion neutrons at the Livermore Rotating Target Neutron Source (RTNS).
