Description

Among others TALSPEAK (Trivalent Actinide - Lanthanide Separation by Phosphorous reagent Extraction from Aqueous Komplexes) is well investigated and established process to achieve group separation of trivalent actinides and Lanthanides. In present investigation this solvent extraction process is tested on hollow fibre renewable liquid membrane (HFRLM) system. Permeability coefficient for all metal ions tested in this system were evaluated and found in the following increasing order corresponding to metal ions: Am(III) << Sm(III) < Nd(III) < U(VI) < Sr(II) < Pr(III) < Ce(III)< Y(III) < La(III). The overall decontamination factor obtained for Am is of the order of 412 with respect to all other metal impurities initially present in the feed solution. (author)
