Elastic scattering in the Zipoy-Voorhees metric
Description
The elastic scattering of test particles from an oblate static source is examined. The elastic cross section for scatterings in the equatorial plane is calculated and compared to the Schwarzschild cross section. Equations determining the critical angular momentum as a function of energy and oblateness are derived
