Towards a 'correctionless' observational cosmology

Description

We review the basic theory for the observational determination of the geometrical structure and evolution of the universe and outline the theoretical basis of the established observational methods and their numerous corrections. We then propose a new method, based on detailed photometry of galaxies, which has the advantages of containing internal consistency checks on the assumptions of the theory and which is correctionless. Wir geben eine Zusammenstellung der Grundtheorie fuer die Bestimmung der geometrischen Struktur und der Entwicklung des Universums durch Beobachtung und beschreiben die theoretische Grundlage der ueblichen Beobachtungsmethoden und ihrer zalreichen Korrekturen. Wir schlagen daraufhin eine neue, auf detaillierter Photometrie von Galaxien basierende Methode vor, welche den Vorteil hat, dass sie interne Ueberpruefungen der Konsistenz der Annahmen der Theorie enthaelt und keine Korrekturen erfordert.
