Calorimeters for electron and photon detection in colliding beam experiments
Description
Designs and characteristics of electromagnetic calorimeters used in colliding beam experiments are briefly reviewed. Hodoscopes of shower Cherenkov detectors, heavy scintillators laminated detectors employing scintillators scintillators, detectors with charge collection and liquid argon calorimeters are described. Peculiarities of these detectors and some of their comparative characteristics are presented
