Detection and measurement of ion currents in mass spectroscopy
Creators
Description
This paper describes the main detectors used for the measurement of ion currents in mass spectroscopy. The Faraday collector and the dynodes and tubular secondary electron multiplication systems are analyzed. Functioning principles are explained with the conditions for use and the expected performances. (J.S.)
