Description
In the present work the question of the possible use of the hydrodynamic approach for describing a plasma beam discharge is investigated. It is shown that the condition ν/sub ei/ > (ν/sub ei/ + ν/sub en/) x W/nT is the Maxwelliazation criterion of moderate energy particles in a plasma beam discharge. In this case the value of moderate energy is less than 3:4 values of plasma electrons thermal energy. The influence of the tail of the distribution function on electron heating is considered qualitatively. (author)
