Lyoluminescence spectra of typical dosimeter materials
Description
Lyoluminescence spectra of saccharides dissolved in neutral or slightly acidic water shown emissions concentrated in the red part of the spectrum. These emission spectra are useful analyses for radiation dosimetry. The experimental technique for dosimetric application and spectral analysis is described. In alkaline solutions spectra of saccharides are shifted to shorter wavelengths of the visible spectrum. Lyoluminescence spectra of amino acid aqueous solutions also show a peak in the blue region. In the presence of fluorescing organic sensitizers the spectra shows evidence of intermolecular energy transfer. (author)
