Dense plasma driver
Creators
Description
Plasma from a short coaxial accelerator operated in 5-Torr deuterium was channeled through a conical section into a 5-cm-diam Pyrex expansion section where dense (ni∼1018/cm3) high-velocity (∼ 8.5 cm/μsec) plasmas were observed, as determined from difference holograms and streak camera photos.
