Application of functional images by intravenous digital subtraction angiography (IVDSA) for evaluation of intracranial hemodynamics
- 1. Nakatsugawa Municipal General Hospital, Gifu (Japan)
Description
Intravenous digital subtraction angiography (IVDSA) has been widely used in clinical practice because of its easy and less-invasive technique. Using simple instruments, such as a personal computer and TV imager, we extracted available parameters from intracranial time density relations and reconstructed functional images for evaluating the cerebral circulation. These functional images can indicate the existence of low perfusion areas which are not shown on conventional serial DSA images, and detect extent and severity in cerebrovascular disorders. (author)
