Process for the separation of a molecular beam
Description
A transverse beam of CO2, for example, is directed towards the core of a condensed molecular beam of N2, for example. The deflection of the molecular beam is based on a large number of individual pulses, whose resultant effect causes a deflection of the pulses in the direction of the relative movement between the molecular and transverse beams. The particles are separated in the molecular beam according to mass and/or size. (DG)

Ein Querstrahl von z.B. CO2 ist auf den Kern eines kondensierten Molekularstrahls aus z.B. N2 gerichtet. Die Umlenkung des Molekularstrahls beruht auf einer Vielzahl von Einzelstoessen, deren resultierende Wirkung einen Impulsuebertrag in Richtung der Relativbewegung zwischen Molekular- und Querstrahl verursacht. Es erfolgt eine Separation der Teilchen im Molekularstrahl nach Masse und/oder Groesse. (DG)Files
