Description

To estimate the hydraulic conductivity of deep aquifer of Hebei Plain, the x(36Cl)/x(Cl) values of groundwater samples are determined by tandem accelerator mass spectrometry. The hydraulic conductivity is calculated by the Darcy's law and the x(36Cl)/x(Cl) values. From the Longwan of Xiong county to the Cuier village of Cang county, the mean hydraulic conductivity is 0.44 m·d-1 in the third aquifer of the Quaternary sediments, and from the Zhongqing of Anxin county to the Cuier village of Cang county it is 0.52 m·d-1 in the same aquifer. In the fourth aquifer of the Quaternary sediments, it is 0.22 m·d-1 from the Zhongqing of Anxin county to the Jingcheng of Cang county. The mean hydraulic conductivity of the clay band is 3.01 x 10-6 between the fourth aquifer of the Quaternary sediments and the Tertiary aquifer in Renqiu city. Between the fourth and the third aquifers of the Quaternary sediments in the Jingcheng of Cang county and the Dazhang chemical plant of Dongguang county the mean hydraulic conductivity is 0.40 x 10-6 and 3.12 x 10-6 m·d-1 respectively
