Description
Under the DOE, the Civilian Radioactive Waste Management System Management and Operating Contractor (CRWMS M ampersand O) has been given the following responsibilities in the area of scientific modeling: To provide overall management and integration of modeling activities; To provide a framework for focusing modeling and model development; To identify areas that require increased or decreased emphasis; To ensure that the tools necessary to conduct performance assessment are available. As an initial step in carrying out these responsibilities, the M ampersand O is conducting a thorough review and evaluation of existing flow and transport models. This paper discusses the M ampersand O approach and lists some of the conclusion
