Hot facility of the Bandung Reactor Centre

Creators

  • 1. Bandung Reactor Center (Indonesia)

Description

A small hot facility wing has been built as an addition to the Isotope Laboratory at the Bandung Reactor Centre. The main feature is that the cell contains a 240-cm dia. rotating table which carries most of the equipment and delivers it to the operating position at the front of the cell or the maintenance port at the rear. Two large glass windows give a view of the whole cell and a master-slave manipulator is used. Hematite concrete was selected for the cell as the high density shielding material in consideration of its cost and availability. Further details of cell construction are discussed. (author)
