Description
Electron Auger spectroscopy method was used to investigate the temperature effect on kinetics of initial oxidation stages of amorphous and crystallized alloys Fe80B20, Fe40Ni40P16B4, Fe75Cr5P13C7. It is shown that temperature increase causes increase of oxidation rate of both amorphous and crystallized alloys. Composition of oxides formed is determined by redistribution in near-surface layers of elements with strong affinity with oxygen. As a whole the amorphous alloy oxidation process is described well within the framework of a modern oxidation model for crystalline materials
