Modeling of solution composition for CdS films deposition from cadmium iodide and thiourea
Description
Complexing in CdI2-thiourea-H2O system was studied. Concentration areas of existence of the formed complexes were identified. Equilibrium concentrations for 100 various combinations of initial concentrations of Cd2+ and thiourea (TU) were calculated. Aqua- and acido-complexes prevailed in case of equimolar solutions of cadmium iodide and TU. Stability of homogeneous thiourea and mixed complexes increased at cadmium iodide concentration >1.10-2 mol/l and TU excess. Ten-fold TU excess at least is required to obtain cadmium sulfide films close to stoichiometric composition at 1x10-2-1x10-1 mol/l cadmium iodide concentration
