Structural features of alloys of Bi-Te system, obtained during superhigh-speed hardening of liquid phase

  • 1. Moskovskij Inst. Ehlektronnoj Tekhniki (USSR)

Description

Solid solutions on the basis of bismuth, intermediate Bi2Te3 phase, and tellurium are prepared using the method of superhigh-speed cooling of Bi-Te system melts of different composition. This fact is established by the radiographic analysis. The increased degree of chemical homogeneity was found during the microradiographic spectral investigations of metastable alloys, that is indicative of suppression of liquidation effects accompanying non-equilibrium crystallization of solid solutions
