Large Size Sodium Purification Device used for producing nuclear grade sodium of CEFR

Description
A kind of large size sodium purification device is developed in order to study a purification technology producing nuclear grade sodium of CEFR. The purification technology includes the reaction removing calcium, two stages deposition and two stages filtration which make calcium and oxygen content decrease to not more than 10 μg/g and 20 μg/g respectively. Key technical parameters are presented. The sodium purification device mainly contains industrial sodium receiver, reaction tank, the first and second stage deposition vessels, the first and second stage filters, nuclear sodium storage tank and cold trap. The off-line analytical methods of seven impurities in sodium are respectively established. About 337 tons nuclear grade sodium was produced from Feb, 2006 to May, 2008 and filled into seven sodium storage tanks of CEFR successfully. (author)
