Description

The B4 thermal supermirror neutron guide, curved silicon monochromator, and multi-detector neutron diffractometers which were newly installed are useful for the researches on magnetic structures and static structures for a polycrystal, amorphous alloys, and magnetic bodies, etc. A system functions in the wave length area of 0.12nm-0.24nm while the neutron diffraction device in the KUR reactor room uses the short wavelength of 0.1nm as shared research devices. The result of monochrome neutron strength and S/N etc. was obtained more than the same level as the device in the reactor room. Moreover, the gain corresponding to the number was obtained by installing two or more He-3 detectors in 2θ arm. The example of the polycrystal neutron diffraction which had been examined by now was shown. (T. Tanaka)
