On halogen nature in bis-(α-benzyldioximato)-di(amine)iron (3) chlorides

Description
Iodides of bis-(α-benzyldioximato)(amine) iron(3) have been synthesized, where pyridine, β and γ-picolines were taken as amine. The compounds prepared are studied by the methods of chemical and thermogravimetric analysis, mass-spectrometry, Moessbauer and ESR spectroscopy, measurement of magnetic properties and molar electric conductivity. It is shown that for the compounds the structure in which iodine is in the form I3- anion and for iron coordination number 5 is realized, is the most probable one
