Determination of Al, Si, Ti, Fe and Zr in glass sand samples by 14 MeV neutron activation analysis
Creators
Description
14 MeV neutron activation analysis was found to have a widespread application as a multi-element analytical technique for geological samples like Al, Si, Fe, P, N, O and other light elements. In this work anon-destructive and accurate method was used to determine Al, Si, T, Fe and Zr in glass sand rocks in which the concentration of SiO2 (97-99). The gamma ray spectra of glass sand samples were counted after 36 min from the end of the irradiation using a Ge(Li) detector coupled to an on-line computer facility
